China has ordered a year-long freeze on admission fees at tourism sites, the latest step by the government to keep a lid on rising prices.
The official Xinhua news agency said the move was aimed at promoting the healthy development of tourism. It cited a circular by the economic planning agency, the Ministry of Finance, the tourism administration and other ministerial bodies.
